Well done compilation of the critiques of the critiques. Generally the initial critique of Darwin's Doubt is presented alongside the response. It's nice to have the response to a criticism so you can see both sides simultaneously. I enjoyed reading the book - at times the biology was beyond me (I'm a chemist) but generally I could follow the arguments.

I am 1/3 through the book and I'm glad it was written. If you're at all interested in this topic, the behind-the-scenes exchanges are difficult to find for the non-scientist. As a passive observer, it is great to see these exchanges brought to the public light. I'm not going to go off and read some scientific blog, forum, or even get a communication response from any noteworthy scientist. As such, it is helpful to witness and delve into the finite points of difference. I read Darwin's Doubt in its entirety and I am glad to see the authors were willing to present and address criticisms to their works. This is the healthy side of science I hope to see more of.I always thought the goal of science was not just to be correct according to today's standards, but to be correct 1200 years from now as well...

Great topics which will help me sift through "Darwin's Doubt" that started the debate. And for the layman who wants to get involved read, "Undeniable" by Douglas Axe before you tackle topics in "Debating Darwin's Doubt". Science is never "settled" and we cannot leave it up to the scientific elite to tell us that any science is "settled" so that they can cling to their false ideology.

WOW! By simply skimming over the emotionally driven responses found in the comments sections for this book speaks louder and more powerfully than could any possible review to be read. Initially, anyone interested in this book need look little further for reason to buy a copy than to simply see the emotive reaction spewing from the faithful followers of Darwin and his...theory, yes, theory. To those who somehow find it more tenable to consider absolute nothing can viably result in causation of something ex nihilo, I inquire: What good is it to label yourself as a skeptic(Darwinian First Responders/Amazon Experts), without questioning even your cherished beliefs with equal scrutiny? As part of scientific methodology consists of a search for causes, is causation itself implicitly biased or is it the scientist? Think for yourself, question authority.

This book is a collection of short essays from various experts who have the courage to discuss the problems surrounding the theory of Evolution and expose the tactics of self-appointed gatekeepers of thought who attack skeptics and misrepresent their ideas rather than debating them or addressing their ideas.Like the priests who attacked Galileo to defend Aristotle's mistakes, modern priests who control the Academy use their influenced to dismiss data that conflicts with their chosen world view and try to silence skeptics. The debate is over, they insist. But in fact, Darwinian evolution is still debated. It's debated among scientists and philosophers with open minds, the kind of men and women who allowed the theory of Evolution to be heard in the first place. And in this book, the skeptics put Darwin's priests to shame, once again.

"Debating Darwin's Doubt" is a companion book to 2013's seminal "Darwin's Doubt". It consists of articles responding to the harsh and often irrational criticism from neo-Darwinist circles.I recommend it to those who have read "Darwin's Doubt" and to the critics to whom have a smugness over an asserted "aha, gotcha" mentality.I suggest to all interested readers to approach these works with an open, unbiased approach, instead of a priori prejudice, which is far more scientific than screeching over legitimate enquiry into the assertions of Darwinism. The reactions to these books seems to illuminate a real worry about long held Darwinian assumptions akin to the anxiety of one knocking over a house of cards. It seems that unless these criticisms held water, the "debate" would be over. But where there is smoke, there's fire...

I started reading "Debating Darwin's Doubt" on my Kindle app. It is very informative and a great follow-up to "Darwin's Doubt." We need to hear both sides of the "story" in order to make an informed decision about the THEORY of Evolution. "Darwin's Doubt" is an excellent way to bring yourself up-to-date about the ideas concerning how science, biology, and anthropology, and, evolution. It is amazing what is now known about the origins of live on planet Earth! I also recommend reading "Signature in the Cell" by Stephen Meyer. It is "heavy" reading, but also so amazing!
