This was written so magnificently, THAT as a FAN it put me in their shoes. It broke MY heart and let me see the side that we imagine but don't HAVE to live. It brought a lot of bands from my past, unspeakable tragedies rushing back through my mind. I cried for Stoli and Social Sinners. Through their strong blood brothers bond, family and friends, faith, hope, prayers and unwavering support, miracles do happen. Through recovery and self discovery this love story between Stoli and Joey that is cemented in their past, is now secure in the future as they grow into men together, never letting go of each other. I can't wait to see where the road that Social Sinners are touring on takes them next. This is an EXTRAORDINARY SERIES that has the open road ahead of it. The Social Sinners, Joseph “Joey†and Ricky “Stoliâ€, never remembering a time when they weren't friends. Mick “Mickey†and Ethan “Diamond†joining them in high school. Outcasts for various reasons, when they started their garage band their name choice became obvious to them.Joey and Stoli are in love. Even though they have finally declared their love for each other, both men are tentative with the relationship. With all their families firmly supporting them, they begin to realize maybe they can have it all. Joey told Stoli “It always should of been youâ€.As they explore their new feelings they head out on the road for their first headlining tour. Everything is slotting into place. Love, family, friends, music, giving them an all time high. Their world just getting better and better.When the unthinkable happens they will all need each other to get through it. Proof that family is paramount.This book felt kind of like a fairytale, everything going perfect for the Sinners. Their little world giving them everything they wanted and needed. Even with the sadness, the book still had that happy ending quality. I enjoyed it but it just didn't have the gritty essence that the first book had.
Another awesome read from this author. I am loving this series. I love rockstar romances. And this one didn't disappoint. The romance was sweet and the sex was hot.'In the shadows' picked up seamlessly where 'Behind the lights' ended, even though it is now from Stoli's POV. In the Shadows follows the band on the rest of their tour and the reader gets to know the band members better. I enjoyed reading their adventures and journey as a band. The guys are truly a family, even if they aren't blood related.I was anxiously awaiting for Stoli and Joey to finally get together, and once the realization of Stoli's harbored feelings hits Joey, the two's relationship immediately strikes a match. I love the close friendship these guys have with each other and their management but also the guys in the other band.I look forward to Mickey's and Diamond's stories in the coming months.
Very rarely does a rock star series grab a hold of me in the way Social Sinners has right from the first book! TL Travis is doing a remarkable job of pulling her readers into the world she has created for her characters. It's beautiful, at times it's raw and gritty, but it's always believable and that says a lot for the talent this author has to offer her readers. Her characters stole my heart in book one and after reading book two, I feel as though these men are friends I know from my own social circle! I can't wait to see what she has in store for us in book three!If you're a fan of the rock star theme in stories, then I highly recommend you check out this new series!I'm giving this story 5 huge stars because I love this series!
I enjoyed the first book in this series as Joey and Stoli grew up. The continuation of their journey in this book was truly beautiful, hot, and heartbreaking. They have definitely become my favorite mm couple. Stoli or Ricky, his given name, finally had the one heart he had always loved. I cried during quite a bit of this book. I am addicted to rock star romance and this story just took it's place among my favorites. I can't wait for the next installment!
This book had me on the edge of my seat well into the night. I just couldn’t put it down. Joey and Ricky are so perfect for each other and I was pulled right into their love. I laughed, cried like a baby, and rejoiced. Fantastic series, I can’t wait for the next book, I throughly love these guys!!
I love rockstar romances. And this one didn't disappoint. The romance was sweet and the sex was hot. It was great to see Stoli and Joey finally be together. There were several chapters in the middle of the book that almost stopped my heart. This is book two in the series which needs to be read in order.
Only book 2 in the series and I want more. This one was from Stoli's pov. The love and friendship and family this story has had me laughing and crying and the drama had me crying. And i loved every minute of it.
