I don't usually buy books under 150 pages and "Twice Bossed" is the perfect example of why. There was SO. MUCH. potential in this book. If it had been fleshed out, if the plot had been carefully nurtured, and cultivated, this could have been an INCREDIBLE book. Really, it could have been. But it was wasted in an effort to get it done quickly and it was so painfully obviously so.The plot goes as such:Sasha Reed is at her wits end with her ex Mark, the wannabe criminal who she is continually bailing out. She's flat broke but gets a job at the office of Jordan Stone & Luke Steel. It's a classic tale of insta-love (because what else can you have in a book this short?) where the heroes see the Mary-Jane perfection of Sasha Reed and HAVE to have her. They have ex troubles, too, though in the form of a woman named Amanda who got close to Jordan & Luke because of their money and knew they liked to share. She ended up suing them and breaking their hearts and now they don't trust any woman. Except when their bangin' hot new secretary shoes up (cue the insta-love). Beyond that, there's not much to tell. It's sex, sex, sex with a paper thin plot and then the end. That's what you get when you try to stuff a book that could easily be 300 pages into a 86 page box.Oh, well.Fair warning to all my fellow Grammar Nazis out there– the editing in this thing was a mess. It was very, very poorly edited. So bad in fact, that it made it impossible to become fully engrossed in the book because words were so mixed up and punctuation was way off.The opportunity to grow the plot about Amanda, the ex that betrayed Jordan & Luke and the ex of Sasha, the criminal wanna be was splayed spread eagle on a silver platter for Madison Faye. It would have essentially written itself, given time. She could have easily expounded upon the plot and created something amazing. But again... It's so painfully obvious that this was a rushed project and the potential slipped right through her fingers like sand. She barely had time to properly edit this thing, after all.I thought the characters were very likable but I'm not a BDSM fan. At all. I kind of hate it, to be honest. I like a shy heroine as much as the next person but there was little to no fight in Sasha– no sass or spunk. I get it– being submissive and all that. I guess that just doesn't do it for me. I want the hero(s) to have to work for the heroine not just steam roll over her and treat her like crap. It seemed like borderline abuse at some points. And despite the fact that it was a sex fest, there was little to no character development (again, with the HUGE potential lost) so the chemistry between said characters really suffered because of it. There was nothing to build it on, no ground work. It was like throwing paint at the walls and calling it art, hoping it stuck. This book was just a mess.I've previewed Faye's other works and I can honestly say, I don't think I'll be returning to this author again. Which is sad, because I think, if she put in a little more effort, she could be really great.2 STARS.

In this book we meet Sasha Reed, Luke Steel, and Jordan Stone. Sasha is a woman who just needs a job after her ex pretty much cleaned her out she needs something to stand on. So when she is hired to work as the receptionist for Steel and Stone Holdings CEO's she is just happy to be working. What she thinks is though that she will be working for 2 older gentlemen so when she meets them she has to remember to pick her jaw off the floor. She wonders will she even though she is overqualified for the job will she be able to do it while fighting her attraction to her bosses?Luke and Jordan were trying to avoid the exact situation they are in now. They didn't want another attractive woman working in their office. Not after the problem they had with the last woman. However there seems to be something different about Sasha and they are determined to find out what. Can they get past their insecurities and go after the woman they both want or will they let her go without even trying? This is a very short book that is packed full of wow factor. I want to tell you all that happens but I don't want to ruin it for anyone else. I will say that this is an amazing book that I would recommend to anyone and everyone. This also includes 2 of her other stories

I've read MANY of Faye's books and have loved them EXCEPT for one thing...THE EDITING!! She is a wonderful author of steamy erotic, happy ending type novels yet the editing of her books is so atrocious that I almost didn't finish Twice Driven because it was so full of errors it was hard to read! This story wasn't quite as bad with the errors although there are many, but that's why she's not getting higher ratings from me. Now as for what I think of this story...I LOVED the story line!! As a matter of fact about 1/3 of the way through I started laughing so hard at a scene in the book that I had to put the book down while, for a solid 5minutes, I cracked up. That's the great talent this author has. She can write steamy scenes that are so graphic and well orchestrated that you find yourself shifting in your seat. She can turn around and write another where you can clearly feel the embarrassment of the character to the point that I myself have felt my cheeks heat. One of the things I really enjoy about her novels is that there is always a happily ever after AND we are not left to wonder what happens in the end. She gives a nice epilogue explaining what happened in the end. I like my stories tied up in a neat little bow and hers does that well. This story along with Taken Three Times I think are my two favorites in all of her stories I've read to date. This is a great manage of m/f/m with no m/m action in it. What it is is a powerful story of 3 lovers who know exactly what love is when they see it and choose to jump in with both feet. When it's right, it's right. You will love these protective, dominant, sexy men and the wonderful good hearted, honest woman that loves them both. It's a heartwarming and sheet scorching tale. It doesn't disappoint.

I read this quick little read in a little over a couple hours. There were so many good things about this book! As I said before, it was short, which I love short reads! Both males also seem like decent guys. While there were plenty of steamy scenes, I wish there was a little more of a plot to the story. I get that there's instalove and something like this doesn't really happen in real life and that is alright. One thing that I really like about this book is that the guys are kind of like a unit. They don't get jealous of the other which is really nice. I'm not an active reader of books like this with more than one love interest at the time, but for this author, I know I'm going to get a good book!
